Vegetable Chopper with Container and 7 Blades
Dicing an onion by hand means tears, uneven pieces and a cutting board covered in bits that roll onto the floor. A vegetable chopper with a container does it in one press and catches everything underneath.
You set a blade in the frame, put the vegetable on top, close the lid and press. The pieces drop straight into the clear container below, which doubles as a storage box. There's also a draining basket that fits inside, so you can rinse what you just cut without moving it to a colander. Even dicing in seconds, and everything lands in the container instead of on the counter.
The seven functions
- Large dice (14 mm): potatoes, peppers, cucumbers for salads
- Small dice (7 mm): onions, carrots, salsa, mirepoix
- Julienne blades: thin strips for slaw, stir-fries and salads
- Slicer (1.5 mm): thin cucumber, radish and potato slices
- Wavy blade: crinkle-cut potatoes and carrots
- Grater: cheese, carrots and zucchini
- Egg separator: sits on top and lets the white drain into the container
Tips for clean cuts
- Cut the vegetable to a size that fits the grid before you press.
- Place it cut side down so it sits flat.
- Press in one firm motion rather than several small pushes.
- Very hard vegetables like raw sweet potato are easier on the large dice.
Size and care
It's about 31.8 cm (12.5 in) long and 11.5 cm (4.5 in) wide. Rinse the blades right after use, before food dries in the grid, and use a brush to clear the corners.
