Round Mandoline Slicer: Rotary Vegetable Cutter with 3 Drum Blades

Slicing a pile of potatoes or shredding carrots by hand takes time, and uneven pieces cook unevenly. A flat mandoline is faster, but one slip near that open blade is enough to make many cooks give up on it. A round mandoline slicer gives you the speed and even cuts of a mandoline while your hands stay on the crank and the pusher.

This round mandoline slicer is a hand-crank rotary vegetable slicer: you load the food into the hopper, press it down with the food pusher and turn the handle while a drum blade slices or shreds it. It comes with 3 interchangeable 430 stainless steel drums, a lock button that holds the drum in place and a silicone suction base that keeps it steady on a smooth countertop.

Why you'll love this round mandoline slicer

  • Even slices and shreds in seconds: for salads, homemade chips, gratins and slaw.
  • Fingers away from the blades: you push the food from above and turn the crank.
  • 3 drums in one tool: slicing, fine shredding and coarse shredding.
  • Stays put: the suction base holds it steady on a smooth countertop.

A round drum vegetable cutter is a popular choice for people who want even slices and shreds without the risk that comes with a traditional V-blade slicer.

How to use the rotary vegetable cutter

  1. Wipe the countertop clean and dry, then press the base down so the suction holds.
  2. Insert the drum you need and press the lock button so it stays in place.
  3. Cut large vegetables into pieces that fit the hopper and place them inside.
  4. Press the food down with the pusher while turning the crank at a steady pace. Let the drum do the work instead of forcing the food.
  5. Place a bowl in front of the drum to catch the slices or shreds.

Cleaning and care

The drums detach for washing under running water. Rinse them right after use so food does not dry inside the holes, and use a small brush for the shredding drums. Handle the drums by their ends and dry all parts before storing them together.

Frequently asked questions

Is a round mandoline slicer safer than a regular mandoline?
The design keeps your fingers away from the cutting surface because you push the food from above and turn a crank. As with any blade tool, always use the pusher and keep fingers out of the hopper.

Can this vegetable slicer cut potatoes and hard vegetables?
Yes, firm vegetables like potatoes, carrots and beets work well. Cut them into pieces that fit the hopper.

Can it grind nuts?
Yes. The fine shredding drum turns almonds and other nuts into a fine meal for baking.

Does the suction base work on any countertop?
Suction holds best on smooth, non-porous surfaces such as laminate, glass or polished stone. It will not grip on wood grain, tile grout or textured surfaces.

Excellent product

I absolutely love this mandoline slicer.
It easily can grate carrots and cut potatoes in crisp shape to make chips.
The feeding chute is generous enough that I only have to make one or two slices of a large carrot to feed it into the slicer.

So impressive!

It was hard to decide which grater to order with so many to choose from. I finally ordered this one and I am so glad with my decision. I tested it with cutting rough vegetables like carrots and cucumbers and this sliced it in less than 3 seconds. I am so impressed by how easy it is to use. The base stayed safe to the counter, but was easy to remove with just a turn of the knob when I was finished using it. Clean up was so easy. It came boxed very well and was worth the money.

Genius Slicer

This mandoline slicer is genius. I absolutely love this! It is easy to assemble and use. Before I bought it, I was making my potatoes in oven by cutting the potatoes manually. But with this, I don't have to go through all that trouble.

The material tank is generous enough that I only have to make one or two slices of a large potato to feed it into the mandoline. Great purchase, Thank you!
