Magic Trio Peeler Set: Three Peelers, Three Jobs
One regular peeler can't do everything. It squashes a ripe tomato, slips on a kiwi and can't cut carrot strips at all. The Magic Trio Peeler set gives you three peelers, each made for a different job, so you're never forcing the wrong tool.
All three are Y-shaped peelers with stainless steel blades, and they're color coded so you can grab the right one without thinking. Firm veggies, soft fruit and julienne strips, all covered.
Which one to grab
- Black, straight blade: everyday peeling. Potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, apples, and thin vegetable ribbons for salads.
- Red, julienne blade: thin strips. Carrot and zucchini strips for slaw, stir-fries and garnishes, plus quick zucchini noodles.
- Blue, serrated blade: soft, slippery skins. Tomatoes, kiwis, peaches, plums and peppers.
The blue one surprises most people. Its small teeth grip a tomato's thin skin instead of sliding off and crushing it.
How to use them
- Wash the produce and hold it firmly over a cutting board.
- Pick the color for the job.
- Pull toward you in long, light strokes and let the blade do the work.
- For julienne, run the red peeler along the full length of the carrot or zucchini, and stop at the seedy center of a zucchini.
Set or one rotating peeler?
If you like having separate tools you can hand to different people in the kitchen, this set is the way to go. If you're short on drawer space, our 3 in 1 vegetable peeler puts the same three blade types on one rotating head.
Care
Rinse each peeler right after using it, use a small brush on the julienne teeth and dry them before putting them away. Store them so the blades don't bang against other utensils.
It's a small set that makes a real difference in everyday prep. Add it to your cart. Want a single julienne tool instead? See our julienne peelers, or browse all fruit and vegetable peelers.
